Son tres breves escritos que se concretan a partir del resultado de entrevistas realizadas al artista, entre 1995 y 2012. En el cuerpo de cada uno de los textos, el diálogo solo aparece por momentos y se entrecruza con el relato, a veces minucioso,  de las entrevistas; o con la reflexión sobre el pensar o el hacer del entrevistado. El primer encuentro nos acerca fundamentalmente a la obra escultórica con desechos de García Curten. El segundo, que coincidió con la visita del escritor Abelardo Castillo, deja translucir aspectos más profundos de su estética y la mirada del cuerpo humano. El último y más reciente nos revela su opinión sobre el arte de  Antonio Berni. Encuentros más reflexiones constituyen un breve ensayo sobre obra y pensamiento de García Curten.

 

ABSTRACT

These three short texts are the result of a number of interviews with the artist Garcia Curten between 1995 and 2012. In each of these writings, dialogs appear scarcely, interweaving with an often very detailed narration taken directly from the interviews; or the interviewer’s own reflections. The first meeting consists fundamentally of an approach to the sculptural work made with waste by Garcia Curten. The second coincides with the visit of Abelardo Castillo, and it exposes more profound aspects of the artist's aesthetic view of the human body. Finally, the last and most recent encounter reveals his opinion of the art of Antonio Berni. In conclusion, this constitutes a brief essay about the work and thought of Garcia Curten.
