El artículo pretende develar el potencial transformador que subyace en la propuesta expositiva “Oficina de Turismo San Agustín del Sur” y el Foro “¿Es posible construir una visión Metropolitana de ciudad desde los sectores opuestos que la conforman?” de la artista Nathalya Critchley  realizada en el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Caracas (MACC), de octubre 2015 a febrero 2016. El acto creativo parte de un proceso dialógico donde la artista asume el rol de mediador cultural para incidir  positivamente en el aprendizaje y reafirmación de valores en jóvenes de la barriada, de bajos recursos, de San Agustín del Sur en Caracas-Venezuela, estrechando así las distancias entre el contexto inmediato y el MACC, poseedor de una de las más relevantes colecciones de Arte Latinoamericano de nuestro continente, creada en los años 1960.

 

Infiltrating the art in the spirit of the place

Abstract

The article seeks to unveil the transformative potential that underlies the exhibition proposal "Office of tourism San Agustín del Sur" and the Forum "Is it possible to build a metropolitan vision of city from opposing sectors that comprise it?" artist Nathalya Critchley in the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Caracas (MACC), October 2015 - February 2016. The creative act is based on a dialogical process where the artist assumes the role of cultural mediator to positively influence on learning and reaffirmation of values in young people of the neighborhood's low-income, San Agustín del Sur in Caracas, Venezuela, narrowing the distance between the immediate context and the MACC, possessor of one of the most important collections of Latin American art of our continent created in the 1960's.
