El Latinx Theatre Commons (LTC), en asociación con HowlRound, es un movimiento nacional que utiliza un enfoque comunal para transformar la narrativa del teatro americano, para amplificar la visibilidad de la presencia  Latinx en el desempeño de obras y para Defender la equidad a través de la abogacía, la creación de arte, la convocatoria y la erudición.

Un "commons" es un recurso que no pertenece a nadie que beneficia a todos. En una comunidad todos manejamos estos recursos para el mejoramiento de la comunidad. (Algunos ejemplos incluyen el océano, el aire y Wikipedia). No hay membresía en estos espacios públicos, y le damos la bienvenida a cualquiera que quiera participar. El LTC es un espacio para que todos los defensores del teatro Latino/a/x se unan para avanzar en el teatro latino/a/x. A través de la transparencia radical, una estructura sin jerarquía y la organización intergeneracional, animamos a todos a aprovechar su poder hacia la acción positiva. Nadie está excluido de la mesa: la mesa está aquí y todos están bienvenidos a unirse.

 

The Latinx Theatre Commons(LTC), in partnership with HowlRound, is a national movement that uses a commons-based approach to transform the narrative of the American theater, to amplify the visibility of Latina/o/x performance making, and to champion equity through advocacy, art making, convening, and scholarship.

A “commons” is a resource owned by no one that benefits everyone. In a Commons we all manage these resources for the betterment of the community. (Some examples include the ocean, the air, and Wikipedia.) There is no “membership” in the commons, and we welcome anyone who wants to participate. The LTC is a space for all Latina/o/x Theatre advocates to come together to advance Latina/o/x theatre. Through radical transparency, non-hierarchical structure, and intergenerational organizing, we encourage all to harness their power towards positive action. No one is excluded from the table—the table is here and all are welcome to join.
