Entrevista colectiva con la Organización Secreta Teatro (México D.F.),  y su directora, Rocío Carrillo, creadores de la obra multidisciplinaria Quemar las naves,  El viaje de Emma, presentada en el Encuentro de las Américas 2017 en el Los Ángeles Theatre Center,  Los Ángeles, California, evento encabezado por José Luis Valenzuela, y su Latino Theater Company. El planteamiento de la entrevista surge por parte de la Dra. Teresa Marrero, catedrática de teatro latinoamericano y Latinx en los EEUU en la Universidad de North Texas, cerca de Dallas, Texas. También es miembro de la mesa directiva del Latinx Theatre Commons y sirvió en el comité de programación para el Convivio del Encuentro de las Américas 2017. Además, funge como crítica para la revista virtual de las artes en el norte de Texas, www.theaterjones.com.

Abstract

This interview is devised with the Mexico City Company Organización Secreta Teatro and its director, Rocío Carrillo, creators of the multidisciplinary piece, Quemar las naves, El viaje de Emma (Burning the Ships, Emma’s Voyage), presented at the 2017 Encuentro de las Américas at the Los Angeles Theatre Center, Los Angeles, California. This event was headed by José Luis Valenzuela and his Latino Theater Company. The idea for this interview originated with Dr. Teresa Marrero, professor of Latin American and Latinx Theater at the University of North Texas, near Dallas, Texas. She is a member to the steering committee of the Latinx Theatre Commons, and served in the Convening Programming Committee for the Encuentro 2017. She is also a theatre critic for the online journal www.theaterjones.com, which serves the performing arts in North Texas.
