Con el presente artículo se pretende ofrecer una interpretación sobre la encarnación del azar en la danza de Carmen Werner en Madrid, España. Para ello, nos centraremos en la obra Allí donde las flores se mueren (2016). Nos interesa identificar los significados que perfilan un sentido coreográfico abriendo una nueva sensibilidad en un territorio donde convergen lo intuitivo y su materialidad; es decir, el límite entre lo visible de la danza y el contenido psíquico que contiene; conjugando de este modo, una teatralidad del azar como devenir del gesto frente a otros usos e interpretaciones del proceder performativo.

The encarnación of chance in Carmen Werner: A poetics of the body in movement

Abstract

This article intends to offer an interpretation about the incarnation of chance in the dance of Carmen Werner in Madrid, Spain. For this, we will focus on the work Allí donde las flores se mueren (2006). We are interested in identifying the meanings that outline a choreographic sense by opening a new sensibility in a territory where the intuitive and its materiality converge; i.e., the limit between the visible of the dance and the psychic it contains; combining in this way a theatricality of chance as a future of the gesture in relation to other practices and interpretations of it in performance procedure.
