Ponencia presentada en el 41st International Symposium of Hispanic Literature The Influence of Don Quixote in the Humanities, llevado a cabo en la Ciudad de los Angeles, abril de 2015.
El propósito del presente trabajo es realizar una lectura interpretativa sobre la manera en que se configura la noción de sujeto en el Quijote de la Mancha, y cómo, a partir de esta configuración, se generan tiempos y espacios que posibilitan la emergencia de la subjetividad como vehículo a la transformación del mundo circundante. A partir de la experiencia cotidiana y la insatisfacción con relación a ella, surge la necesidad de construir una realidad otra, de la cual se produce la afirmación de un sujeto que rechaza el mundo finito del pensamiento científico, la intelectualización y la racionalización, para albergarse en la fascinación de la experiencia subjetiva que produce, finalmente, la transformación del mundo, a partir del encantamiento de la interioridad.
Abstract
This paper aims at doing an interpretative reading on how the notion of subject is shaped in Don Quixote, and, how times and spaces stem from this shaping, thus enabling the emergence of the subjectivity as a vehicle to transform the surrounding world. From the everyday experience and the dissatisfaction thereof, there arises a need to build another reality. In it, there occurs the assertion of a subject who rejects the finite world of the scientific thought, intellectualization and rationalization, to then get sheltered in the fascination of the subjective experience producing, eventually, the transformation of the world based on the enchantment of the interiorness.
