El Festival 41º del FITEI (Festival Internacional de Expresión Ibérica) se realizó en Porto, Portugal del 12 al 22 de junio de 2018. El objetivo principal de esta edición fue reflexionar sobre el empoderamiento de la gente desfavorecida del mundo: mujeres, grupos éticos, pobres, gente de países del sur de Europa, aborígenes y todos los grupos privados de sus derechos como personas y como ciudadanos y, de este modo, reevaluar los conceptos de centro y periferia. Todos los espectáculos, mesas de discusión y otras actividades se encaminaron hacia este objetivo.
Abstract
The 41º International Theatre Festival of Iberian Expression took place in Porto, Portugal, from June 12th to the 22nd, 2018. The main objective of this edition was to reflect on the empowerment of underprivileged people of the world, women, ethnic minorities, poor, people from the Southern European countries, the aborigines, and all socially deprived groups not enjoying the rights they deserved as human beings and as citizens, and to reevaluate the concepts of center and periphery. All the performances, round tables, workshops and other activities were oriented to that aim.
