La reseña se enfoca en el uso de la cámara como estrategias para acotar el sentido de un film, el primero en Cuba con niños como protagonistas, que se presenta como una alegoría del choque de generaciones en la isla, con sus diferencias de clase, género y expectativas. La película, al invertir la relación usual en que la generación anterior orienta a la nueva, muestra en forma invertida cómo los jóvenes padecen el peso de las controversias del pasado revolucionario, del cual buscan liberarse para establecer sus nuevos valores.

Abstract

The review focuses on the use of the camera as strategies to define the meaning of a film, the first in Cuba with children as protagonists, which is presented as an allegory of the clash of generations on the island, with its differences in class, gender and expectations. The film, by inverting the usual relationship in which the previous generation orients the new one, shows in an inverted way how young people suffer the weight of the controversies of the revolutionary past, from which they seek to free themselves to establish their new values.
