La reseña se enfoca en un film que pone en primer plano la vida caótica de aquellos veteranos de guerra que regresan a la vida civil y carecen de todo amparo del Estado. Se hace énfasis en cómo el uso de la cámara y otras estrategias de edición contribuyen a provocar la sensación de tensión y violencia no siempre contenida que padece el protagonista, quien es incapaz de adaptarse a los cambios de la vida social y cultural que viven los jóvenes limeños ni tampoco enfrentar la disfuncional vida familiar en la que está involucrado.

Abstract

The review focuses on a film that puts in the foreground the chaotic life of those war veterans who return to civilian life and lack all protection from the State. Emphasis is placed on how the use of the camera and other editing strategies contribute to the sensation of tension and not always contained violence suffered by the protagonist, who is unable to adapt himself to the changes in the social and cultural life of the young people of Lima nor face the dysfunctional family life in which he is involved.
