Investigação do retorno na imagem em movimento nas artes visuais, denominado looping, através do desenvolvimento de gif´s autorais e por meio de análise visual e documental utilizando trabalho de outros artistas e do próprio autor, assim como textos que abordam o tema da repetição nas imagens e na sociedade a partir do séc. XIX.

A pesquisa utiliza o gif enquanto imagem em movimento mais imediata, que proporcionará material iconográfico para entender a aceleração na criação e fruição da imagem. Atua também como um dispositivo análogo às primeiras imagens em movimento do séc. XIX: pequenas durações, narrativas imediatas e um looping constante.

Esses gif´s são resultantes de trabalho pessoal que se desenvolve à partir de rotoscopias digitais muitas vezes tiradas de imagens em baixa resolução da internet, ressignificando desse modo as imagens e retirando possíveis aspectos narrativos. O looping resultante é representado segundo o suporte, podendo ser bidimensional em baixos relevos ou no tempo, com a imagem em movimento. Essa representação sofre uma aceleração na época atual, seja pela facilidade de produção, seja pela amplitude de dispositivos de visibilidade.

Abstract

Investigation of the return in motion image in the visual arts, called looping, through the development of copyright gifs and through visual and documentary analysis using the work of other artists and the author himself, as well as texts that address the theme of repetition in the visual arts. Images and society from the 19th century.

The research uses gif as the most immediate moving image, which will provide iconographic material to understand the acceleration in image creation and enjoyment. It also acts as a device analogous to the first moving images of the 19th century: short durations, immediate narratives and constant looping.

These gifs are the result of personal work that develops from digital rotoscopies often taken from low resolution images of the internet, resignifying the images and removing possible narrative aspects. The resulting looping is represented by the support, and can be two-dimensional in low relief or in time, with the image moving. This representation is accelerated in the current era, either because of its ease of production or the breadth of visibility devices.
