Al triunfo de la Revolución Popular Sandinista en Nicaragua, el Ministerio de Educación impulsó la Cruzada Nacional de Alfabetización (CNA) en la que se proponía la lucha contra el analfabetismo pero también la concientización y politización del pueblo. Además de los documentos publicados por los diferentes actores involucrados, se produjeron una serie de afiches de carácter masivo. En el año 2009 se publica el libro La revolución es un libro y un hombre libre que recoge una selección de los afiches de diferentes temas estratégicos. Este trabajo se propone, entonces, indagar acerca de los procesos y sujetos involucrados que los signos representan en las diferentes apariciones de los afiches de la CNA desde la propuesta semiótica de Paolo Fabbri.

 

 

 

Images of a revolution. The Sandinista government's literacy crusade.

Abstract

The Ministry of Education of the Popular Sandinista Revolution in Nicaragua, promoted the National Literacy Crusade (CNA). It proposed the fight against illiteracy and the awareness and politicization of the people. Different actors published documents published, but also massive posters were produced. In 2009 the book The Revolution is a book and a free man was published. It contains a selection of posters on strategic topics of the revolution including those of the CNA. This article inquires the representations of the processes and subjects involved in the signs in the different appearances of the CNA posters from the semiotic proposal of Paolo Fabbri.
