La Laura Palmer, Los que vinieron antes, 2017

En enero del año 2011 la dramaturga argentina Lola Arias visita Chile con su último montaje Mi vida después (2009). En esa residencia artística convoca a un taller para conocer la realidad política de la dictadura chilena. El taller sigue su curso y devenir lo que lleva al montaje de El año en que nací (2012) junto a once actores nacionales. Dos de los talleristas, Ítalo Gallardo y Nicole Senerman deciden montar sus propias obras a raíz de la experiencia con Arias, que titulan Los que vinieron antes (2017) y Esto (no) es un testamento (2017) respectivamente. En el siguiente artículo busco reconstruir la historia de este oficio de tallerista que deviene en pilar fundamental del teatro documental nacional.

Abstract.

In January 2011 the Argentine playwright Lola Arias visits Chile with her latest production Mi vida después (2009). In that artistic residency, he calls a workshop to learn about the political reality of the Chilean dictatorship. The workshop continues its course and becomes what leads to the assembly of El año en que nací (2012) together with eleven national actors. Two of the workshops, Ítalo Gallardo and Nicole Senerman, decide to mount their own works as a result of the experience with Arias, which they entitled Los que vinieron antes (2017) and Esto (no) es un testamento (2017) respectively. In the following article I seek to reconstruct the history of this workshop as a workshop that has become a fundamental pillar of the national documentary theater.
