El presente artículo se centra en el estudio estético de la compañía Teatro del Terror. Durante una residencia artística realizada en febrero del año 2020 en el centro de creación cultural Nau Ivanow de la ciudad de Barcelona, España. A partir del concepto de "Lo Ominoso" de Sigmund Freud, se planteó la pregunta ¿Qué es el terror en el teatro? para obtener una definición que permita profundizar en torno al estilo de terror en la práctica escénica. El trabajo presenta un completo análisis de lo experimentado durante la residencia, exponiendo reflexiones, encuentros y futuros cuestionamientos.

The ominous as a construction element for the creation of a Horror style in Theatre

Abstract

This article focuses on the aesthetic study of the Theater of Terror company. During an artistic residency held in February 2020 at the Nau Ivanow cultural creation center in the city of Barcelona, Spain. Starting from Sigmund Freud's concept of "The Ominous", the question was raised: What is terror in the theater? to obtain a definition that allows to deepen around the style of terror in the scenic practice. The essay presents a complete analysis of what was experienced during the residency, exposing reflections, encounters and future questions.
