El presente artículo constituye una aproximación a la obra La comunidad de la naranja de la dramaturga peruana Patricia Romero. Se buscará analizar los principales mecanismos y decisiones escriturales detrás de su construcción: su carácter liminar, el manejo de estructuras de tiempo y espacio y, de manera particular, el rol que cumple la comicidad en el texto. El estudio revela que la obra se edifica en torno a un efecto cómico que opera como eje fundamental de la propuesta, el cual guarda familiaridad con el extrañamiento brechtiano. Asimismo, se sugiere que la aplicación de un esquema Espacio Cerrado - Tiempo Cerrado obedece a un objetivo tanto narrativo como simbólico. Para terminar, se ofrece una breve interpretación del final de la obra.

Abstract

This article approximates the play La comunidad de la naranja by the Peruvian playwright Patricia Romero. It will seek to analyze the main mechanisms and scriptural decisions behind its construction: its liminal character, the management of time and space structures and, in a particular, the role that comedy plays in the text. The study reveals that the play is built around a comic effect that operates as the fundamental axis of the proposal, which is familiar with the Brechtian estrangement. Likewise, it is suggested that the application of a Closed Space - Closed Time scheme obeys both a narrative and a symbolic objective. Finally, a brief interpretation of the end of the play is offered.
