Resumen
El programa narrativo de Paul Auster se deja atravesar por textos de la literatura hispanoamericana, especialmente por los modos de entender el pliegue entre ficción y realidad de Cervantes; la relación con el contexto literario de su país, a veces incómoda y otras veces productiva, focaliza la historia del mundo contemporáneo desde perspectivas originales e imaginativas, donde el centro suele ser siempre la relación entre escritura, azar, destino e identidad. La lupa sutil de Auster apunta siempre a la intensidad humana, azotada por la historia, la mentira, la desigualdad. El análisis presente intenta dar cuenta de ese recorrido, desde las primeras novelas, donde se privilegiaban los brillantes juegos que ponen en jaque a la identidad, hasta las últimas grandes narraciones, que visitan historias como quien indaga, desde la literatura, el complejo sitio del hombre en el mundo actual.

Abstract
Paul Auster's narrative program allows itself to be traversed by texts from Latin American literature, especially by Cervantes' ways of understanding the fold between fiction and reality; the relationship with the literary context of his country, sometimes uncomfortable and other times productive, focuses the history of the contemporary world from original and imaginative perspectives, where the center tends to always be the relationship between writing, chance, destiny and identity. Auster's subtle magnify ingglass always points to human intensity, plagued by history, lies, inequality. The presen analysis attempts to account for that journey, from the first novels, where brilliant games that put identity in check were privileged, to the last great narratives, which visi tstories like those who investigate, from literature, the complex site of man in today'sworld.
