Resumen

EL FITEI 48º se celebró en Oporto del 14 al 25 de mayo de 2025. Este festival diferente a otros festivales iberoamericanos es el único que incluye en su programación muestras del teatro africano, provenientes de las excolonias de Portugal. Como en todos los festivales internacionales cuenta con actividades paralelas de formación, dar a conocer nuevas corrientes estéticas y lo que sucede en el teatro local. El FITEI tuvo su origen en el renacer cultural que se inició con la llamada Revolução dos Cravos cuyos principios ha siempre respetado.

Abstract

The 48th FITEI was held in Porto from May 14 to 25, 2025. This festival, unlike other Ibero-American festivals, is the only one to include African theater from Portugal's former colonies in its program. As with all international festivals, it features parallel educational activities, promoting new aesthetic movements and current developments in local theater. FITEI had its origins in the cultural renaissance that began with the so-called Revolução dos Cravos (Cravos Revolution), whose principles it has always respected.
