El presente artículo trata de mostrar el diferente tratamiento dramático que Lope de Vega y Vélez de Guevara dan a un hecho histórico medieval: el asesinato de la infanta Estefanía a manos de su esposo por creerla adúltera. En él se analizan de manera pormenorizada el desarrollo del tema y de la estructura dramática de ambas obras, para finalizar con las conclusiones.

Abstract

The present article tries to show the different dramatic treatment that Lope de Vega and Vélez de Guevara give to a medieval historic fact: the murder of the princess Estefanía commited by her husband as he thought she was an adulteress. The article analyses in detail the progress of the theme and the dramatic structure of both  plays, ending up with the conclusions.
