En este artículo abordaremos el épodo 2 de Horacio desde la perspectiva del análisis retórico y discursivo con la intención de estudiar los elementos que revelan el sentido irónico del texto. Para ello nos valdremos de postulados teóricos de la retórica clásica como: el género discursivo, las figuras de estilo, la argumentación, el plan narrativo y las prolepsis, que revelan cuáles son los mecanismos formales de la ironía y cómo se despliegan en la estructura narrativa. Igualmente, atenderemos a las principales lecturas que se han realizado del texto para demostrar en qué medida la ironía horaciana puede llegar a ser polisémica y desprender distintas interpretaciones de su épodo, a la vez que discutiremos si este épodo representa el pensamiento horaciano respecto del contraste entre el tipo de vida rural y urbana.

The irony and proleptic speech in Horace's Second Epode

Abstract
This paper will approach Horace's Second Epode from the perspective of rhetorical and discursive analysis in order to studying the elements that reveal the ironic sense in the text. For this we will use theoretical postulates of classical rhetoric: the discourse genre, figures of style, argument, narrative strategy and the prolepsis, which reveal the formal mechanisms of irony and how they are deployed in the narrative structure. Also, we will considerer the main interpretations of this text to demonstrate at what extent the Horatian irony can be polysemic and brings to light several interpretations of his epode, as well as we will discuss whether this epode reveals the Horatian thought about the kind of rural and urban life.­
