This essay, which focuses on the novel Pasos bajo el agua (1987) and on the short stories in Ofrenda de propia piel (2004) by Alicia Kozameh, demonstrates how the Argentine author portrays the insubordinate lived body as a concurrent site of destruction and reconstruction that enables her to reclaim meaning for herself and other victims of the Argentine military regime (1976-1983). It also shows that her corporeal representations offer a powerful counter-discourse to that of the military and construct a collective feminist consciousness that allows for the brutally silenced Argentine female voice and body to be heard and seen as an agent of her own subjectivity.
 

Resumen

En este ensayo se analiza la representación del cuerpo femenino en la novela Pasos bajo el agua (1987) y en la antología de cuentos Ofrenda de propia piel (2004) por Alicia Kozameh. Se demuestra que la autora argentina retrata un cuerpo subversivo que es a la vez un espacio de destrucción y de reconstrucción, lo que le permite recuperar significado para sí misma y para otras víctimas del Proceso (1976-1983). Asimismo se muestra que las expresiones corporales en estos textos ofrecen un poderoso contra-discurso al del régimen militar y permiten la conformación de una conciencia feminista colectiva que le otorga voz y agencia a la mujer argentina silenciada por la dictadura.
