El desarrollo de la I Guerra Mundial sacudió las estructuras del arte que habían sido establecidas por la Academia.
La reacción de los distintos grupos de artistas que reunidos en Paris reaccionaban de un modo frugal a estos acontecimientos conllevó a una ruptura que fue fundamental para el desarrollo del arte contemporáneo.

Diego Rivera que se encontraba en Paris en aquel momento tomó un lugar preeminente en el movimiento de vanguardia incorporándolo al ámbito mexicano a su regreso.

Abstract

The development of the First World War shook the structures of art that had been established by the Academy. The reaction of different groups of artists who gathered in Paris reacted in a frugal way to these developments led to a rupture that was fundamental to the development of contemporary art. Diego Rivera who was in Paris at that time took a prominent place in the avant-garde movement incorporating the Mexican context upon their return.
