El presente trabajo se propone revisar los modelos femeninos en el film Psicosis de Alfred Hitchcock, encarnados por los personajes de las hermanas Crane: Lila y Marion. En tanto se suele ubicar a la película dentro del cine negro, primero se mencionará y caracterizará a los tres tipos de mujeres recurrentes en esta clase de relatos, para luego detectar coincidencias y rupturas en la cinta de Hitchcock. Asimismo, se dialogará con el texto Placer visual y cine narrativo de Laura Mulvey, ofreciendo una perspectiva novedosa, que consiste en proponer a la figura de Lila, a raíz de su accionar y particular mirada, como el verdadero motor de la historia, así como la responsable de haber inaugurado un modelo femenino alternativo, el de la mujer detective, muy presente en las obras noir (sagas literarias, películas y series de televisión) que vinieron después. 

Lila Crane, or the detective woman in Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho

The aim of this paper is to check on the female models in Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho, incarnated by the characters of the sisters Crane: Lila and Marion. Since the film is usually located within the noir genre, firstly it will be mentioned and characterized the three types of women frequent in this kind of stories, to secondly look for coincidences and ruptures in the Hitchcock film. Besides, Laura Mulvey's Visual pleasure and narrative cinema will be discussed, offering a new perspective, centered in conceiving the figure of Lila as the true motor of the story given her actions and particular view, as well as the responsible for having created an alternative female model, the detective woman, very present in the later noir works, in literature, cinema and television.
