Resumen

El propósito del presente artículo es contemplar el aspecto material del documento manuscrito occidental datado entre los siglos XVI y XIX, destacando su componente físico, intrínsecamente relacionado a la tecnología de su elaboración y a la composición de los elementos que lo integran: el soporte de papel y las tintas empleadas en la escritura. Documentos que, como transmisores del pensamiento, perpetúan el mensaje y eternizan las afecciones de lo humano.

Writing: materiality and beaty in handwritten documents

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to contemplate the material aspect of the Western manuscript document between the 16th and 17th centuries, highlighting the importance of its physical component, intrinsically related to the technology of its elaboration and the physical - chemical composition of the elements that compose it: the support and the writing inks. Documents that, as transmitters of thought, perpetuate the message and eternalize the human affections.
