Resumo

Definir os parâmetros de uma sociedade baseada em regras explícitas de controle e punição marcam o entendimento do que é ser “normal” ou “anormal”. Estes parâmetros revelam não apenas o que podemos fazer, mas também quem podemos ser, ainda que em nosso íntimo desejemos atuar de outra forma. Não há dúvidas de que qualquer ser humano tem a tendência natural de buscar formas de libertação, mas as barreiras sociais são muitas. Na lógica do controle não apenas estamos severamente vigiados como igualmente punidos por nossas infrações. Quem define o aceitável ou permitido são aqueles que detêm o discurso legítimo. Lutar contra esta estrutura pode definir o seu lugar ou falta de lugar nesta sociedade, como aconteceu com a artista Camille Claudel, escultora francesa que morreu na total obscuridade e só teve sua obra reconhecida pela originalidade décadas após sua morte.

Abstract

Defining the parameters of a society based on explicit rules of control and punishment mark the understanding of what it is to be "normal" or "abnormal". These parameters reveal not only what we can do, but also who we can be, even if in our hearts we want to act differently. There is no doubt that any human being has a natural tendency to seek forms of liberation, but the barriers are many. In the logic of control, we are not only severely guarded, but also punished for our infractions. Those who define what is acceptable or permissible are those who hold the legitimate discourse.. Fighting against this structure can define its place or lack of place in this society, as happened to the artist Camille Claudel, a French sculptor who died in total obscurity and only had her work recognized for its originality decades after her death.
