Buena Memoria de Marcelo Brodsky (2000.

En este artículo analizaremos la serie fotográfica “Buena Memoria” de Marcelo Brodsky; apuntaremos nuestra indagación a comprender los diferentes espacios y objetos en que es posible ir a buscar rastros de los desaparecidos, para recomponer su historia. Asimismo, intentaremos comprender el lugar de la fotografía para la elaboración del duelo, la construcción de una biografía y una memoria. A su vez esto nos permitirá preguntarnos si es posible considerar a la imagen fotográfica como un epitafio sustituto. ¿Qué lugar ocupa este trabajo dentro del proceso de duelo y elaboración de la falta? ¿Cómo se instala la fotografía en la construcción de la identidad y la memoria? ¿Qué temporalidades hace convivir esta muestra fotográfica?

Abstract

This article explores "Good Memory", Marcelo Brodsky’s photographic series, and our inquiry will aim to understand the different spaces and objects where it is possible to look for traces of the missing people during Argentine last dictatorship, and to reconstruct their history. Also, we try to understand the role of photography in the elaboration of mourning, in the construction of a biography and a memoir. In turn this will allow us to ask whether it is possible to consider the photographic image as a substitute epitaph. What place does this work of art occupy in the grieving process and the elaboration of that lack? How does photography install itself in the construction of identity and memory? What kind of temporalities does this photographic exhibition make us to share and live?
