Abstract
The following paper intends to analyze the novel Cadáver exquisito (2017), by Agustina Bazterrica, a dystopia that imagines an extreme scenario which exacerbates the problems found in the present food industry. We will examine in this work how bodies receive value, and how the distinction between the concepts of “human” and “meat” operates and fades. For this, we shall take into account the role of biopolitics in the social configuration and the part played by language as a divider between consumers and consumed bodies.
