Abstract
The main objective of the current work is to manifest how the capitalist and utilitarian ideology of a political group located in the Argentinian state of Neuquén operates concerning environmental issues. It will be taken into account the fact that this political group has been ruling over Neuquén for decades and that this state possesses a great amount of natural resources, which turns the extraction of these into one of the most important activities of the region. To this propose I will analyze the discourse of one of its political spokesmen from two different argumentative theories: the pragmadialectical theory and the Stephen Toulmin one.
