En México el teatro y la “gesticulación” han sido dos componentes de la cultura nacional, el primero en su forma dominante occidental a partir de la Conquista, el segundo desde la postrevolución tal y como fue identificado por Rodolfo Usigli. Para abandonar estos estigmas es necesario colocarse como teatristas y mexicanos más allá de todo lo que impide una relación abierta y compleja con la realidad y poder así contribuir a su transformación. Esto es lo que se plantea en el conjunto de ensayos que integran el presente libro y cuyo soporte metodológico es la transdisciplinariedad, estrategia que me parece pertinente para la comprensión de la problemática cultural que se vive en México y en el mundo, pues permite visualizar la interconexión entre todos los elementos que la constituyen.

Abstact:

In Mexico Theatre and  “gesticulation” have been two components of the national culture, the first one in his dominant western form from the Conquest, the second one from the postrevolution as it was identified by Rodolfo Usigli. To leave these stigmas is necessary to place like theatre professionals and Mexicans beyond everything what prevents an opened and complex relation with reality and to be able to contribut to their transformation. This is what appears in the set of essays that integrate the present book and whose methodological support is the transdisciplinarity, strategy that seems to me to be pertinent for the comprehension of the cultural problematics that one lives in Mexico and in the world at present, since it allows to visualize the interconnection between all the elements that constitute this reality.
