La selección de los presentes trabajos de crítica literaria y artística que participaron en las “II Jornadas Internacionales Cuerpo y Violencia en la literatura y las artes visuales latinoamericanas contemporáneas”, realizadas en la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) en el año 2019, y organizadas conjuntamente con la Universidad Goethe de Frankfurt del Meno y la Universidad de Varsovia, dan cuenta de los modos diversos en los que la cultura figura la relación entre el cuerpo y la violencia. Por esta razón, los artículos se han organizado a partir de dos núcleos temáticos: 1. “Cuerpos heridos: vulnerabilidad, deseo y locura” y 2. “Cuerpos indisciplinados: resistencia y heterotopías”.

Así, la primera parte del libro aborda la relación entre  el amor y el terrorismo de estado; el abuso sexual y cuerpo vulnerado; el testimonio de un torturador y la  memoria; la dimensión simbólica y biopolítica de la belleza y la narrativa narco; la figuración de los cuerpos mutilados en el género de terror y carácter desquiciante del deseo en el ámbito de lo familiar.

En la segunda sección del libro, se aborda la problemática de la biopolítica y la psicopolítica a través del análisis del simbolismo de un escritor,alga; la relación entre vida y literatura en Macedonio Fernández; la transformación del personaje de la “bella durmiente” en una “Beya” vengativa que interviene en la trata de personas; la tensión entre cuerpo y marxismo; las propuestas políticas y éticas del especismo y el humanismo y finalmente el análisis de las figuraciones de Eva Perón en el arte y la literatura de los últimos años.

Body and violence. From inertness to heterotopía

The selection of the selection of the present works of literary and artistic criticism that have participated in the "II International Conference on Body and Violence in Contemporary Latin American Literature and Visual Arts", held at the Philosophy and Literature School at UBA, University of Buenos Aires, in 2019, and jointly organized with the Goethe University of Frankfurt am Main and the University of Warsaw, account for the diverse ways in which culture figures the relationship between the body and the violence. For this reason, the works have been organized around two thematic clusters: 1. “Wounded bodies: vulnerability, desire and madness” and 2. “Undisciplined bodies: resistance and heterotopias”.

Thus, the first part of the book addresses the relationship between love and state terrorism; sexual abuse and violated body; the testimony of a torturer and memory; the symbolic and biopolitical dimension of beauty and the narco narrative; the figuration of mutilated bodies in the horror genre and the unsettling nature of desire on the domestic side.

In the second section of the book, the biopolitic and psychopolitics issues are approached through the analysis of the symbolism of a writer,seaweed; the relationship between life and literature in Macedonio Fernández; the transformation of the character from the "sleeping beauty" into a vengeful "Beya" involved in human trafficking; the tension between body and Marxism; the political and ethical proposals of speciesism and humanism and finally the analysis of the figurations of Eva Perón in art and literature in recent years.
