Resumen
En septiembre de 2018, las investigadoras Paula Ansaldo, María Fukelman, Bettina Girotti, Jimena Trombetta y Rocío Villar, pertenecientes al Instituto de Artes del Espectáculo (IAE) “Raúl H. Castagnino” de la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la Universidad de Buenos Aires, llevamos a cabo las 2° Jornadas Internacionales de Estudios sobre Teatro Independiente (JETI). En este libro, titulado Teatro independiente: grupos, espacios y prácticas, acercamos un poco de lo que fue dicha experiencia, traducida en catorce artículos, a cargo de Leonardo Basanta y Mariana del Mármol, María Alejandra BottoFiora, Magalí Andrea Devés, Juliana Díaz, Jorge Dubatti, Ricardo Dubatti, Juan Estrades, Bettina Girotti, Mercedes Núñez, Gustavo Radice, Dayra Restrepo, Luciana Scaraffuni Ribeiro, Jimena Trombetta y Rocío Villar. Los trabajos indagan en la historia de diferentes grupos teatrales independientes (Teatro Libre Argentino de Títeres, Teatro Rambla, Teatro Galpón, Teatro Circular), distintas experiencias (teatro afrodescendiente, teatro de títeres, figuras históricas en el teatro independiente), múltiples territorialidades (desde Buenos Aires, La Plata y Rosario hasta el teatro independiente en Uruguay y Colombia) y algunas poéticas específicas (Camello sin anteojos, Laureles, Mirá!).
La pandemia por el Covid-19 nos obligó a demorar esta publicación y también la tercera edición de las JETI, pero no por eso a detenernos, ya que, como pregonaban los integrantes del viejo Teatro del Pueblo, quienes durante un tiempo utilizaron como lema la frase de Goethe expresada en el epígrafe de las Palabras preliminares, seguiremos recorriendo el camino en la investigación del teatro independiente, sin prisa en la búsqueda de certezas, pero siempre en movimiento, como la estrella.
Abstract
In September 2018, Paula Ansaldo, María Fukelman, Bettina Girotti, Jimena Trombetta, and Rocío Villar, researchers of the Institute of Performing Arts (IAE) "Raúl H. Castagnino" at the Faculty of Philosophy and Literature of the University of Buenos Aires, organized the 2nd International Independent Theater Studies Conference (JETI). The presentbook titled "Independent Theater: Groups, Spaces, and Practices" shares a glimpse of this experience through fourteen articles written by Leonardo Basanta and Mariana del Mármol, María Alejandra Botto Fiora, Magalí Andrea Devés, Juliana Díaz, Jorge Dubatti, Ricardo Dubatti, Juan Estrades, Bettina Girotti, Mercedes Núñez, Gustavo Radice, Dayra Restrepo, Luciana Scaraffuni Ribeiro, Jimena Trombetta, and Rocío Villar. The articles delve into the history of different independent theater groups (Teatro Libre Argentino de Títeres, Teatro Rambla, Teatro Galpón, Teatro Circular), various theatrical experiences (Afrodescendant theater, puppet theater, historical figures in the independent theater), multiple territorialities (from Buenos Aires, La Plata, and Rosario to the independent theatersof Uruguay and Colombia), and some specific dramatic cases (Camello sin anteojos, Laureles, Mirá!).
The COVID-19 pandemic forced us to delay this publication as well as the third edition of the JETI, but it did not fully stop us. Following the tradition of the members of the old Teatro del Pueblo, who adopted Goethe's phrase expressed in the epigraph of the Preliminary Wordsas their motto, we will continue to journey on the path of researching independent theatre, without haste in the search for certainties yet always in motion, like the star.
