Resumen

Este libro reúne las charlas mantenidas por un grupo de teatristas durante el año 2025. Es la continuación de una serie de encuentros en los que venimos conversando sobre la praxis teatral, la formación actoral, la pedagogía teatral y múltiples temas relacionados al teatro y la performance desde el año 2023. La conversación entre los integrantes del grupo –todos ellos con trayectoria en la actuación, la dirección y la docencia universitaria— fluye informalmente sobre tópicos de la praxis teatral desde la perspectiva artística y psicoanalítica.Nuestras charlas, realizadas virtualmente, evocan la informalidad de aquellas otras realizadas en décadas pasadas alrededor de una mesa de café. Por ese motivo, acordamos no atenernos ni a protocolos y bibliografía académicos, ni a autoridades que nos pusieran bozales a nuestra inventiva, a riesgo de que el delirio condujera a paradojas insostenibles.Nuestra propuesta fue, entonces, dejar fluir el pensamiento, gambeteando las censuras y represiones subjetivas, evitando a su vez los imperativos supuestamente benéficos de la corrección política. Nos atuvimos a conjeturar, entendiendo –como plantea Lacan— que la conjetura no es sin rigor. Nuestro objetivo fue poner en emergencia y con urgencia los discursos actualmente sostenidos en nuestra praxis teatral, desestabilizar esos saberes, inventar en lo posible nuevos caminos a partir de nuevas preguntas, muchas veces irreverentes y herejes. Nunca nos planteamos acceder a conclusiones dogmáticas; además, cada uno de los integrantes llevó el contenido de las charlas a su propio molino. Cada uno hizo y hace lo que le parezca con lo debatido en las reuniones, sea en su propia praxis creativa o bien en la pedagógica. El índice temático puede ayudar al lector a localizar algún tema en particular de su interés.

Abstract

This book compiles the conversations held by a group of theater artists during 2025. It is a continuation of a series of meetings in which we have been discussing theatrical practice, actor training, theater pedagogy, and numerous topics related to theater and performance since 2023. The conversation among the group members—all of whom have experience in acting, directing, and university teaching—flows informally around topics of theatrical practice from artistic and psychoanalytic perspectives. Our talks, held virtually, evoke the informality of those held in past decades around a coffee table. For this reason, we agreed not to adhere to academic protocols and bibliographies, nor to authorities who might muzzle our inventiveness, at the risk of our creative fervor leading to untenable paradoxes. Our proposal, then, was to let thought flow, sidestepping subjective censorship and repression, while also avoiding the supposedly beneficial imperatives of political correctness. We stuck to conjecture, understanding—as Lacan argues—that conjecture is not without rigor. Our objective was to urgently challenge the discourses currently held in our theatrical practice, to destabilize that knowledge, and, where possible, to invent new paths based on new, often irreverent and heretical, questions. We never intended to arrive at dogmatic conclusions; moreover, each member applied the content of the discussions to their own purposes. Each person did, and continues to do, what they see fit with what was debated in the meetings, whether in their own creative or pedagogical practice. The thematic index may help the reader locate a particular topic of interest.
